Trish Breen - Parent Representative/Chairperson


Trish is married to Andrew and has two children, one who is still attending St Joseph's while her eldest has now graduated to secondary school.  She has been a member of the Board of Trustees since November 2011.  As the current Chairperson, Trish feels privileged to work together with a supportive, proactive Board, committed to student achievement and the special Catholic character of the school.  Trish enjoys meeting people, values time with her family, loves a good book, and wishes to be more committed to daily walks!

Ben Cameron - Parent Representative/Secretary


Ben feels privileged to serve on the Board, being co-opted in 2014 and elected in 2016.  Ben and his wife Vicki have three daughters attending St Joseph's and one preschooler.  They have lived and worked on the family farm at Lovell's Flat for 10 years, having previously lived in Ireland and Hawkes Bay.  Ben is a strong advocate for the values based education the children receive at St Josephs.  He believes all students should be provided with educational opportunities that enable them to realise their unique potential.  Ben enjoys working with the Board, staff, and greater community, to help achieve these goals.

Annette O'Mahony - Principal


Along with her busy roll as Principal, Annette also sits on the Board, providing essential insight and experience.
Annette's monthly Principal's Report provides the Board with regular feedback on student achievement.

Craig McCrostie - Parent Representative


Craig is married to Mel and has three children, two of which recently made the move to secondary schooling in 2019.  He is on his second term on the Board, and is our property and health and safety officer.
Craig enjoys working with the Board in a proactive way to ensure we have the best outcome for all students and staff. 

Tracey Murray - Proprietors Representative/Treasurer


Tracey and her husband Chris live in Balclutha and have three children who attend St Joseph's.  Tracey also holds an office bearing role in the Parish.  As a Chartered Accountant, we are lucky to have Tracey as our Board Treasurer.
In her spare time, Tracey enjoys getting outdoors with her children, running and cycling.

Glenn May - Proprietors Representative


Glenn was appointed to the Board in 2017 as a Proprietors Representative, and is married to Melissa.  They have a son and daughter attending St Josephs.  Glenn brings with him a wealth of business acumen and practical experience which has already seen him become a valued member of our strategic team.

Laura Irwin - Proprietors Representative


Laura is married to Chris and they have three young daughters, the eldest of whom attends St Joseph's school.  Laura was co-opted to the Board in mid 2017 and enjoys working with a dedicated group of people who all want to make a positive contribution to the school and their children's learning.  She believes that St Josephs is a great school with wonderful committed staff and a fantastic community spirit and thinks it's an honour to represent the parent interest.

Anna Grant - Staff Representative


Anna is our staff representative, appointed in 2018.  As well as being a fully participating member of the Board, Anna also brings with her the invaluable staff perspective.

Father Chris O'Neill


Father Chris has recently become a part of our school and Parish community after relocating from Invercargill.
Father provides crucial guidance to the Board, especially pertaining to the school's Catholic Character.
