Cheese Rolls
Who would have thought fundraising could be so much fun! Our cheese roll making venture started on Thursday night when we got together to grate 175 kgs of cheese! We met again yesterday and had helpers on deck from 9am until 4pm to put together hundreds of dozens of cheese rolls. It was such a lovely community feel, as parents and grandparents came and went during the day, working around various sporting and other commitments to lend a hand. And when we started to get weary .

Welcome Isabelle!
A huge welcome to our latest new entrant Isabelle, who joins her big brother Riley as part of the St Josephs family!
After lots of visits to our Little Learners class (for 4 year olds), and an older brother and five older cousins to welcome her to the school, we are sure that Isabelle feels right at home!

Music Festival 2017
Wow! What a fantastic evening and congratulations to the students of St Josephs, Clutha Valley, Warepa, Lawrence, Waiwera South, Catlins Area and Rosebank schools. The performances tonight were very professional, well rehearsed and enthusiastically delivered to a big audience of friends and family. A special thank you to Erica Milligan for leading our own awesome singers. We were so proud of all of our children tonight who participated, and may I just say for a small school

Curling!
On Friday night the staff and board made a trip through to Dunedin for a mid year dinner. We had a great turn out with nearly everyone attending. As part of this, we enjoyed a challenging, hilarious and sometimes competitive game of curling at the Dunedin Ice Rink. After curling we headed off to La Porchetta for pizzas, and then it was back in the mini vans for the trip home. Thanks everyone for a great evening!

Welcome Austin!
We welcome a new student and family to the school today as Austin joins our new entrant class. Here he is looking very excited to be in his school uniform! Happy school days Austin, we look forward to sharing the learning journey with you!
